  • Who is the provider?

    Aura combines superior technology and around-the-clock service, saving you time and stress. Aura scans billions of online sources, assesses personal identity risks, raises alerts of suspicious activity, and empowers users with access to 24/7 U.S.-based support and remediation services. With unparalleled family protection, Aura provides access to safe browsing tools and personalized threat alerts.
  • How can this help me?

    Aura offers robust protection by monitoring your personal info,credit, finances, and devices and alerting you of suspicious activity.It's proactive protection to help stop threats before they strike. If you area victim of fraud, an experienced Resolution Specialist will help you navigate credit bureaus, help initiate credit freezes or a credit lock, and work with you to resolve your fraud incident.
  • How do I pay for my identity and fraud protection?

    Fees will be paid through payroll deduction, so you don't have to worry about writing a check or missing a payment. For Employer-paid plans and buy-up, payment is made via credit card directly to Aura. 
  • When can I enroll?

    Enroll in Identity & Fraud Protection during annual enrollment.
  • Who can I protect with a Family Plan?

    Account owners can add up to 10 adults to their plan. There are no restrictions on adult family members — no matter where they live, their age, relationship, or whether they are financially dependent on the employee. Each adult member gets their own private, full-feature Aura account.

     

    Account owners may also add unlimited minors (under 18) to their plan if they have parental guardianship rights over the minor. The minor's alerts will be available for only the account owner to review.

  • My bank/credit card offers identity protection. Why would I need Aura?

    Aura Identity invests considerable resources into developing and advancing identity theft technology, and spends hours learning how identity thieves work. This means that these identity protection services are far broader and more comprehensive than a bank or credit card, which is usually based only on credit. Not only do these services monitor it all, but also fully manage and restore your identity in the case of fraud, which means you do none of the legwork. Finally, an up to $5 million identity theft insurance policy means you don’t have to cover the costs of recovering your identity.1

    MetLife & Aura Identity & Fraud Protection's comprehensive information security policy applies to all of its employees, consultants, contractors, and vendors:

    • Your information is stored solely in an encrypted data center on non-public networks behind firewalls using network address translation and address control lists
    • Security protocols enable only a limited number of professionals to access data on a need-to-know basis
    • All facilities utilize the latest security measures, as well as state-of-the-art surveillance and alarm systems
