  • How can this help me?

    Hospital Indemnity Insurance pays a daily benefit if you have a covered stay in a hospital, critical care unit or rehabilitation facility. The benefit amount is determined based on the type of facility and the number of days you stay.

    Below are a few examples of how your Hospital Indemnity Insurance benefit could be used (coverage amounts may vary):

    • Medical expenses
    • Travel, food and lodging expenses for family members

    • Everyday expenses like utilities and groceries
  • When can I enroll?

    As a new hire, you can enroll within 31 days of your date of hire. All other employees, you may enroll during your annual enrollment period or within 31 days of your Change in Family Status.
  • Will I have to take a medical exam to get this coverage?

    This coverage is guaranteed-issue (which means you may qualify for coverage without having to submit to a medical exam or answer health questions).

 

The Accident, Critical Illness, and Indemnity Medical Insurance coverage is provided by policy forms GVAP6, GVCIP4, and GVSP2, or state variations thereof. This is a brief overview of the benefits available. Details of the coverage, including exclusions and other limitations are included in the certificates issued.
